In BIG Phone, start at Phone → Recent Calls. Enable Show missed calls from ⋮ → Preferences → Phone to give missed calls their own section. Check the caller’s name or number, then tap the entry to call back; after reviewing it, tap Mark all seen. Marking calls seen changes their status; it does not call back or delete the entry.
A separate missed-calls section puts unanswered calls together instead of mixing them with the rest of the history.
Set BIG Phone as the default calling app
Open BIG Phone and accept its default-app prompt if it appears. If it does not, use System settings → Apps → ⋮ → Default apps → Calling app, then select BIG Phone for Seniors. Check this role before reviewing a new missed call.
Open the call menu first
From the BIG Launcher home screen, tap Phone → Recent Calls. The current free BIG Phone listing shows only the five most recent call-history items, so check this limit before relying on the list for an older missed call. The full version lists more call history.
Show missed calls as a separate section
- Return to the BIG Launcher home screen.
- Tap the three dots ⋮ next to the clock and choose Preferences.
- Choose Phone, then enable Show missed calls.
Open Phone → Recent Calls again. Missed calls now appear in their own section and stay marked until you review them and use Mark all seen.
Call back, then mark the list seen
Check the caller’s name or number in the missed-call list, then tap the entry to call back. After the callback decision is complete, tap Mark all seen; the reviewed calls move into the complete chronological call list. Delete, when enabled in Preferences, is a separate action from both callback and marking calls seen.
Check one missed-call review
- Have a trusted contact call and leave the call unanswered.
- Open Phone → Recent Calls and confirm that the entry appears in the missed-calls section.
- Tap the entry and check the caller before making the callback.
- After reviewing the call, tap Mark all seen and confirm that the entry moves into the chronological call list.
If the entry is missing, recheck the default calling app and Show missed calls.
Make the next callback easier to find
Use BIG Phone’s missed-calls section as a review list, call back from the entry, and mark it seen after the review.
