Use BIG Launcher’s button editor to make one recognizable call button: select the contact and exact phone number first, add a photo, give the button a short label, and keep the confirmation before dialing.
The order matters when a contact has both mobile and work numbers. A familiar photo identifies the person, but only the selected number tells BIG Launcher where the call will go.
Set up the photo call button
- On the BIG Launcher home screen, tap the three dots ⋮ next to the clock.
- Choose Set buttons, then tap the home-screen button you want to use.
- Choose Direct call/SMS. Select the contact, then select the exact phone number for this button. If you want to choose a number each time, use Contact details instead.
- Open the contact’s details, choose Set photo, then choose Gallery or Camera. Crop the image and tap Save.
- Return to the button editor, choose Set label, enter a short name such as “Anna” or “Doctor”, and save the button.
The photo appears on a button assigned to that contact. The label gives you a second, readable check, and BIG Launcher lets you adjust label position and size if the default is hard to read.
The current BIG Launcher listing gives the free version customizable buttons in the right column; the full version lets you customize all buttons. If the button you need is elsewhere, check the live listing before arranging the home screen.
Keep the call confirmation
A direct contact button normally opens a confirmation dialog. To show only the call choice without removing that check, open ⋮ → Preferences → Contacts and disable Show message option in call dialog. Leave No menu when calling the contact disabled: enabling it starts the call immediately after the button tap.
Check one button safely
- Use a known willing contact and confirm the photo, label, contact name, and selected number.
- Tap the button once, read the confirmation, and tap Cancel.
- If you chose a call-only dialog, check that only Call remains; do not place a real call during setup.
